Crows and bridges are prosthetic devices added to the mouth. Crowns cover a damaged tooth to provide strength, prevent cracking, and/or to improve it’s appearance. Dr. Wong employs both gold and porcelain/ ceramic crowns which carefully match the appearance and feel of existing teeth. Bridges are used to replace missing teeth. They literally bridge the gap created by the missing tooth.

How does the procedure work?

Before a crown or bridge is made, a tooth must be reduced in size so the crown will fit over it. This is done so that the final result will have the exact same dimensions- and feel- of the original tooth. Usually, a temporary crown/bridge is put in place while the final piece is custom made in a lab. Then, patients return for final placement and fitting.
